Grand Canyon Eclipse

On May 20th, 2012, an annular solar eclipse occured and was visible from the Grand Canyon. The eclipse lasted a total of 4 minutes and 30 seconds, during which time the landscape was gently bathed in an eerie light with a subdued color palette...An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, but the Moon's apparent diameter is smaller than that of the sun.
