A Winter Storm Clears at the Grand Canyon.

A winter storm has left a dusting of snow on the trees below the rim of the Grand Canyon. Across the canyon, Isis Temple is bathed in warm light through an opening in the clouds as the storm begins to clear.

Isis Temple was named by writer George Wharton James for Isis, the Egyptian goddess of nature. This view of Isis Temple is from Powell Point, named for explorer John Wesley Powell, on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.
