Sunset Rainbow at the Grand Canyon

In the moment leading up to sunset, a monsoon thunderstorm made its way across the eastern edge of Grand Canyon National Park near Desert View. The sun found a clearing in the storm through which to shine and illuminate the long canyon wall known as the Palisades of the Desert. In the distance is the Colorado River and to the right is a rainbow over the Painted Desert.
